What’s better than walking around a gallery, appreciating fine art and sipping a delightful wine or spirit? Original art meets wine and spirits in a new gallery concept in Lisbon. Tintos e Tintas (literally translated, “Red Wine and Paints”) is a space where Portuguese artists and Portuguese vintners are celebrated together. Each month, a different artist and a wine producer are featured in a special exhibition. The public is invited to participate in these events at the space located at Avenida Duque de Ávila, 120.
From 24 September to 29 October, Tintos e Tintas presents A Memória dos Dias (The Memory of Days), with works by Antonio De Matos together with Beirão liquor by Jose Redondo. Born in Cantanhede in 1942, DeMatos studied at the University of Coimbra. His works have been featured in exhibitions across Portugal since 1993. Beirão is a unique liquor, made from a secret recipe, since the late 1800’s, by distilling seeds and herbs from all over the world, including Malaysia, Brazil, and Thailand.
